The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) has granted its “Best Practice Award” to three outdoor and sportswear companies, Odlo, Mammut and Schöffel. The non-profit organization has praised the brands’ efforts to cooperate and provide outstanding examples of how to improve working conditions in their own factories and/or affiliated manufacturing partners in their respective supply chains. Last year, the three companies’ production facilities underwent joint audits to implement the FWF code of labor practices in the most efficient way possible. The award winners are selected every year at the foundation’s annual members’ conference. It was said that Odlo, Mammut and Schöffel could serve as role models for the entire outdoor industry for their respective efforts to improve working conditions in their supply chains.
