Timezone, the marketer of sports and fashionable garments, has teamed up with Salewa, the Italian outdoor company, to create fashionable and functional climbing pants. The result of the unusual partnership are denim pants that are good for climbing, but which should also appeal to fashionistas. Their durability has been tested by the Hohenstein Institute. The climbing jeans are available in a men’s and a women’s version, respectively. Shops are expected to receive the gear by Dec. 15. For the time being, Timezone is limiting this cooperation to just one season. Simultaneously, the fashion company is preparing a similar initiative in the bike pants field with Maloja, a German marketer of functional sportswear.
