Schnellbügel to quit Sport 2000 International

Wolfgang Schnellbügel will step down as head of Sport 2000 International. He has served as its managing  director since 2006 and is going to accept a new professional challenge in France. His successor as head of the purchasing group will be Harold Rubrech. The 48-year-old’s last position was member of the executive board at Intersport Germany were he was in charge of marketing and multi-channel retailing. Rubrech will take over at Sport 2000 on May 1. He already has experience within the group thanks to a stint as marketing director for the organization’s German section from 1994-1997.
