This year’s edition of the World Sports Forum (WSF) organized by the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry and hosted by ISPO MUNICH proved a success once again. More than 150 executives from the industry attended the forum.

Besides other key-note speakers, Leonie Barrie, managing editor at just-style.com gave an insight on the latest developments in the global supply chain for apparel: According to her, only 20 countries supply 97.5 % of the world’s clothing. Rumors of the demise of China are greatly exaggerated, given that 40-45% of world production still comes from the country and the domestic market continues to grow. Ethiopia, on the other hand, is still on very low levels: There are 115 garment factories in Ethiopia, whereas there are 5,000 of them in Bangladesh.
