Mammut grows in Asia and through own retail

megapixel_teaser3_cut_50Conzzeta, the parent company of Mammut Sports Group, said that its outdoor arm grew to 249.9 million Swiss francs (€238.3 million) in 2014 over CHF 247.0 million (€235.5 million) in the prior year. Earnings before interests and taxes was stable at CHF 20.9 million (€19.8 million) representing an Ebit margin at 8.3 percent.

Mammut’s traditional markets in the German-speaking countries were not the driving force behind the sales growth, as the company sees those markets rather saturated. Instead, Asia was one of the new sources of increased turnover. The other pillar of growth was own retail. Last year, Mammut opened 12 new mono-brand stores worldwide.
