For the fourth time in a row, from June 12 to 14 the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy will take place in Chamonix, France. The event has a great reputation within the mountaineer community: Guided by mountain guides and professional athletes and surrounded by impressive scenery, people of all levels can deepen their alpine know-how.
The workshops that take place around the Aiguille du Midi offer a great scope of alpine education. Besides rock climbing and alpine tours, there are courses on big wall climbing and ski mountaineering for the first time. We recommend that you sign up early, as all workshops will be fully booked in a short time.
Another new highlight of the event is the Clean Up Day on June 11, the day before the official start of the academy; participants can acclimatize all together while cleaning the mountains from waste.
All workshops will be guided by the professional mountain guides of the ‘Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix’, the ‘British Mountain Guides’ (BMG), the Chamex Guides and Arc´teryx athletes, including Ines Papert, Luka Lindic, Nina Caprez and Mina Leslie-Wujastyk.
Registration and more information can be found on the event’s website.
