Puma has sealed an agreement with merchandising agency CPLG Germany, which holds the licensing rights of Sesame Street for the German-speaking countries. The lifestyle brand will launch a co-branded line of shoes, apparel and bags on behalf of Sesame Workshop, a non-profit educational organization.
The deal is a global one and not limited to certain markets. The collection is set to launch in spring 2016 and will be labeled both Puma and Sesame Street. As of now, the deal runs for two years. Puma plans to sell the Sesame items through practically all its distribution channels, including independent shoe, fashion and sporting goods retailers, department stores as well as through its own on- and offline outlets.
