Skechers claims to be number two shoe brand in the U.S.

skechers_runThe Californian marketer of functional and fashionable footwear has said that it is now number two on the U.S. athletic footwear market, behind Nike. It has, therefore outpaced its other competitors, such as Adidas, New Balance and Asics in terms of market share. This estimate is based on the first quarter of 2015, although Skechers did not provide precise figures on how the market is shared among the leading vendors. In May, Skechers’ stock went beyond $100 per share for the very first time in history.
