Ukraine is the 45th country in which Intersport will operate. Intersport International Corp. (IIC) has licensed its retail banner to Epicentr K which is set to open 40-50 stores around the country by 2018.

Epicentr K is a big fish in the Ukrainian retail pond, with annual sales of approximately €2 billion. The group runs 65 large-surface consumer goods and DIY markets. Its store K7, in the capital Kiev, is the largest in the world with a retail surface of 105,000 square meters according to the Guinness Book of Records
