Flatter sales than expected: GoPro’s new Hero4 Session.

Yesterday, at a conference held in San Francisco, California, GoPro chief executive and founder Nicholas Woodman, denied a possible sale of his company – partly or as a whole – to Apple. Woodman even considered it unlikely that the brand behind the iPhone was planning to get serious about action cameras at this point.

At the same time, Woodman hinted that GoPro, whose stock value fell by some 55 percent over the last 12 months, is experiencing some problems in the marketplace. One is that the company’s latest product, Hero4 Session, has fallen short of expectations as far as sales are concerned. What is more, he admitted that GoPro still lacks easy-to-use video editing software. Woodman, therefore, said that his team was working on a cloud-based system which would allow easy post-production of films.
