The outdoor division of German group Schwan-Stabilo, consisting of the Deuter and Ortovox brands, improved its total sales by about 15 percent to €112 million in its financial year 2014-15 ended June 30.
Deuter notably grew substantially with its subsidiary in the U.S, but also through its distributors in Switzerland, China and the Netherlands. Ortovox enjoyed significant growth in the German-speaking countries and Italy.
Schwan-Stabilo group lifted its overall sales by 7.4 percent to €601 million. Besides outdoor products, the company manufactures cosmetics and writing materials. The sales of the outdoor unit did not include the turnover of the Maier Sports and Gonso brands of apparel which were acquired effective July 1.
