Langbrett (“longboard”), the German retailer and manufacturer of ecologically and socially sustainable surf products, is expanding its network of shops in the country. On Oct. 22, the company opened its fourth store in Hamburg. It already runs outlets in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin.
Like the other shops, the new Hamburg store offers a range of surf, skate and outdoor apparel produced in factories which guarantee fair working conditions. The longboards are manufactured and shaped in Hamburg itself. For its own footwear collection, Langbrett uses old car tires, corks from wine bottles and its garments are made from, among other things, former East German army tent fabric.
